All this poll proves is that new EB3 folks are more vocal. If we really need an action item then start supporting IV with money. Take part in IV action items to call reps.

Yes it applies for IV too. We have a handful of monthly subscribers because everyone wants the other person to pay for it. If the problem needs to be solved, each victim needs to fight this problem.
Do let us know the outcome of your complaint.

Whenever I speak about IV they get angry and discourage further talk. They talk about EAD traacking, etc.... but are tight lipped when we talk about IV. Some stopped talking to me and say "it is because of IV" . Some say, "we do not believe in IV" but hideously visit IV website anonymously. It is nothing but hypocracy.

May be EB2 India and China can see some movement in July VB published in June.
This piece in VB is telling that the unused numbers in EB2 will be given to the retrogressed countries in EB2. EB1 is current for some time now and EB1 also circularly gets unused numbers from EB-4 and 5 which account for around 20K. But aren't there sufficient applications received in July-Aug 2007 to use up all the numbers ?!? That's the loophole in your analysis. As per official reports, I believe close to 300k applications were received in those two months for AOS, true ?!?

It is shameful to have such members among us.
Anyways, good thread. This site should help people fix the broken system rather than abuse each other or track all day. I hope due to the discussion, people can get some ideas and take action against such employers. IV will be willing to help as needed.
Wish discussions on this thread leads to some concrete suggestions/steps that one take to counter an abusive employer. and ofcourse IV should take steps to make these employers visible to the whole community so that others will not fall pray to them. Exposing abusive employers to the whole community is the most important thing that could thwart efforts of exploitation by such employers. This sounds some times more effective than than even going legal or to DOL.
It is shameful to have such members among us.

And to answer your question about brain drain... it will happen if immigration is not fixed, if it takes 10-15 years to immigrate then people with naturally opt to get out of here before they are neck deep (like us 7-10 years) in the system.

I am speaking in my personal capacity here. While I am all for freedom of expression and assembly, I don't think that rallies will in any way help our cause. We have to talk to people and participate in various forums to make them aware of our cause. Standing and protesting is not going to help us, because our voice will still be lost in the din...we need to speak where it matters and be heard where it matters...

Thanks for your time and effort. But I believe your time could be utilized for other better causes than monitoring the comments made by the users by using the anonymous green/red dot system.
This internet forum is already anonymous for all the posts being made. Thjere is no way someone can tie a userid to an individual. Then why a separate dotting system that ends up eating your time when someone complains?
Someone's red dot feedback is only his/her opinion of the post; the same post could result in someone else's approval via a green dot.
Just let that feedback hang out there in the open along with the reviewer's ID.
Hopefully, by keeping it in the open, it will also make one to be more responsible in their choice of language while providing feedback.
This may not be a simple change of a switch/flag. But please consider it for the future enhancements of the site.

I have done a lot of research on this topic and ended up in taking Tata-AIG. Few tips I can tell:
1. Try a high deductible: It brings down your rate significantly down. The way I saw it is, hopefully nothing will happen to my parents and for small things I have friends who can help them out. If there is something big I can afford a part of it and let insurance take care of rest.
2. have a few extra days than what your parents are coming for: say they are coming for 90 days get one for at least 120 days. Also make sure you get policies which are renewable.
3. Check on the insurance website if it covers hospitals in your area. I looked in one insurance where nearest hospital was 35 miles away from my home.
4. Look for ICU and surgical coverage closely as these two coverages are the most expensive and insurances tend to not cover it.
Hope these helps. Good luck with your parents visit. Let me know if you have questions :)

2. have a few extra days than what your parents are coming for: say they are coming for 90 days get one for at least 120 days. Also make sure you get policies which are renewable.
3. Check on the insurance website if it covers hospitals in your area. I looked in one insurance where nearest hospital was 35 miles away from my home.
4. Look for ICU and surgical coverage closely as these two coverages are the most expensive and insurances tend to not cover it.
